Comment to this post and use the following format:
Subject: Day [date], [your username], [that day's word count]
Example: Day 1, Cutiesonthehorizon, 134 words
If you forget to report in during that day, no worries, post a comment the next day, just report with the date of the previous day in the subject line.
Please try and use the format mentioned above for the subject line so it'll be easier for us to keep an eye on the word counts. As to the comment itself, feel free to gripe about how hard the words were, or squee about how easily you wrote half a chapter! You can put in your favorite sentence, or add a link to the fic, whatever you feel like:)
Because last month we learned the sad news that Fox doesn't want to offer us season 3 of The Exorcist anymore, we all need a bit of a pick me up. June isn't dedicated to a specific kind of fic/art... it's a great time to finish your wips, write AU fics, one-shots, or create your own season 3! Anything goes, everything is welcome. Saturday's are dedicated to tweetathons, so if you create a short haiku, funny poem, art or gifset for the tweets, please share here and on twitter, it absolutely counts towards your daily goal, I promise ;)
Most of all, have fun and don't forget to report in:)
Before June, Eva, 3600 words
Date: 2018-06-02 10:53 am (UTC)Here's a little sample:
The current silence is to be expected in a place such as this, and the only noise is the cracking of the damaged tiles under his feet as he crosses the distance separating him from the center of the empty church.
The smell of incense and candles soon reaches his nose, and he notices there are too many of them burning. It feels like a mocking, a cynical reminder of all the prayers that remain unanswered; that lose themselves somewhere along the way between the believer’s lips and God’s ear.
When Tomas finally reaches the altar, the bells suddenly start to ring; the sound manifestation of the cries of a man in mourning, or the start of the long-awaited trial of Tomas’ heart. He doesn’t know.
“You look like a lost lamb, luv,” a familiar voice rises up from behind him, which echo suddenly grips Tomas’ heart and refuses to let go. “Isn’t that ironic, considering churches used to be your playground?”
