Report in with your word counts!

This entry is for reporting daily word counts! Every day after you finish writing/creating, please comment with your nickname, the day and the number of words you wrote. See the example below:

Comment to this post and use the following format:

Subject: Day [date], [your username], [that day's word count]
Example: Day 1, Cutiesonthehorizon, 134 words

If you forget to report in during that day, no worries, post a comment the next day, just report with the date of the previous day in the subject line.

Please try and use the format mentioned above for the subject line so it'll be easier for us to keep an eye on the word counts. As to the comment itself, feel free to gripe about how hard the words were, or squee about how easily you wrote half a chapter! You can put in your favorite sentence, or add a link to the fic, whatever you feel like:)

Because last month we learned the sad news that Fox doesn't want to offer us season 3 of The Exorcist anymore, we all need a bit of a pick me up. June isn't dedicated to a specific kind of fic/art... it's a great time to finish your wips, write AU fics, one-shots, or create your own season 3! Anything goes, everything is welcome. Saturday's are dedicated to tweetathons, so if you create a short haiku, funny poem, art or gifset for the tweets, please share here and on twitter, it absolutely counts towards your daily goal, I promise ;)

June ExoWriMo Sign-Up

(or Exorcist Writing Month is back!)

Let's get those words flowing and create some Exorcist fic while we are fighting to #SaveTheExorcist!

Just like Nanowrimo or Miniwrimo, we decided to dedicate a month to writing some fiction. Because the February ExoWriMo was such a blast and created so much awesome stories, we decided to do it again! The rules are easy. We start June 1st and finish June 30th, then post the results of our efforts:) The ExoWriMo is open for all themes and types of art, you don't have to limit yourself just to fic. You can draw, create graphics/icons, fanvids or write articles about the show. Anything creative helps out efforts to bring Exorcist back and show people around our love for the characters and their stories.

You let us know in the comments of this post if you want to participate and state the number of words you are resolving to write each day. The lowest number is 100 words, the upper limit is really up to you. Once you comment here, we'll put your nickname into a google docs file and add the daily word counts based on your reports.

Or you can go completely CASUAL. - That is, you make up your own challenge - vidding time, editing time, number of drawings, so many minutes spent writing each day or week. See below for more.

Quick FAQ:

1. What should I do if I want to sign up?

Comment to this post and use the following format:

Subject: Sign Up: [your username], [word count]
Example: Sign Up: Cutiesonthehorizon, 100 words

Subject: CASUAL Sign Up: [your username], [your personal challenge]

2. Do I have to write daily? What happens if I forget to write/report my word count?

The challenge is to get you writing each day, so yeah, it would be great if you could, even if it isn't material ready for posting:) This challenge is to remind you to write. If you don't manage for the day, because let's be real, there's life and stuff, nothing happens. Try and write a bit more the next day. If you did write and just forgot to report your word count, you can report in the next day. The reporting page won't be locked down until the end of the month and you can report retroactively:)

CASUAL: Or in casual mode, you do what you can. Cheer the others on, vid, write, do something else for the fandom. And cheering for the poor suckers not in casual mode would also be most appreciated. Please note, griping about lack of word count, cheer leading and other similar content totally counts in casual mode.

3. Where do I report my daily word counts?

The reporting page will go up June 1st. You'll find a short description of what to do over there. :)

4. What happens at the end of the month?

We will review the month, and celebrate the words we manage to produce. The most important thing is that there should be new fic to read, new art or vids to watch, so we can spread the love for the fandom:)

5. I'm not planning to write this month/can't write/don't have the time. Is there any other way to help out or cheer the writers to produce more fic?

Of course there is:D Feel free to sign on in CASUAL mode as a cheerleader and more casual content creator.

Or even if you don't sign up at all, the comment section is open to anyone and you're welcome to leave any prompts you'd like to see in the comments. Be it a word, link to a picture, song, whatever can give inspiration to the writers. Or even just a simple hello:) Also spreading the word about ExoWriMo and getting more people to participate means more fic to come;)

April ExoWriMo Results

The second ExoWriMo is over and everyone made it out sane and hale! Yay! Still no word about season 3 but that didn't deter us. While right now there is only 1 completed fic for April's ExoWrimo (the rest are still in the works), we had several awesome sketches done by the wonderful ide_cyan, links can be found below. Everyone who participated deserves big kudos and a hug! You were all absolutely awesome, and I can't wait to see you back for the next ExoWriMo, which should come in June, so stay tuned.

February ExoWriMo Results

Yay! So we made it through February and lack of news about renewal with the help of some writing and cheering! Everyone who participated was absolutely awesome and deserves a big kudos and a pat on the back:) It was a fun ride and we will be repeating it in April, so stay tuned.

Prompts/Cheer-leading page

This is the right place for all the cheer-leaders and all the authors! Let us know how you are doing, what is easy, what is hard. Support your favorite author so they can get more done:) The comment section is open to everyone, whether you are signed up or not. There are really no rules, you can post one sentence prompts, a picture, link to a fanvid or a song that brings up thoughts of our awesome boys, whatever you think can help get the muse working.

We would ask you though to keep it fairly PG rated and post NSFW stuff behind a cut or a link. Thank you! Also if you're commenting with a prompt, please add the word prompt into the subject line of your comment, for easier orientation.
