Ah, I was abysmal at reporting in ever since last week, on the other hand I managed to write something every day. Yet I didn't keep an eye on my word count, aye. So for now, I have about 56K of the adopt AU and 6K on the whumpexchange fic... 2.3 of those I managed to write today, yay!
As I can't show an excerpt from the exchange fic, here's a little bit from the adopt AU:
„Don't ever trust them, Tomas. Whatever those things say, don't let them in." Marcus said and Tomas put his head down with a weary sigh that belied his youth.
"I'm trying to keep them away, but it's getting so much harder. I'm just... so tired all the time."
Marcus felt for him, he really did. He knew the weariness, fought it for over a year after Gabriel died... fought it at the boy's home before the church bought him like a piece of meat and God saved him from the fate of the forgotten. He didn't want the same for Tomas.
