I'm liking this SO much! The graph that starts "Marcus' voice sounds better than it did half an hour ago" is wonderful. And yes, "Your eyes are very blue" is such a Tomas thing to say when his brain is altered. And holy crap that word count! You WERE inspired! Congrats!
