April ExoWriMo - Word Count Report In
Comment to this post and use the following format:
Subject: Day [date], [your username], [that day's word count]
Example: Day 1, Cutiesonthehorizon, 134 words
If you forget to report in during that day, no worries, post a comment the next day, just report with the date of the previous day in the subject line.
Please try and use the format mentioned above for the subject line so it'll be easier for us to keep an eye on the word counts. As to the comment itself, feel free to gripe about how hard the words were, or squee about how easily you wrote half a chapter! You can put in your favorite sentence, or add a link to the fic, whatever you feel like:)
To help you all out a bit, April was decided to be the month of AUs/Crossovers! You're of course welcome to create any kind of content, but if you want to get some inspiration, there are few AU/Fic generators:

Most of all, have fun and don't forget to report in:)
Day 12, thenbringmeback, 2018 words
That said, thank you also for the wonderful feedback you've left me on my few report-ins. I'm hoping I'm back on schedule now! And I've actually got a snippet to offer this time around!
Here you are:
[“…Marcus, it’s a slide.”
“What? You’re taking the piss!” Marcus’ excitement is like that of a child, and Tomas can’t help but smile to himself at the sight. They’re indeed looking at the entrance to what appears to be a pretty steep slide. Tomas doesn’t recall looking around on the outside of the giant pyramid and seeing a place where a slide exits the building, but it’s too late now, because Marcus is tugging him along. All fifty-something years of this man practically dragging Tomas to the top of the slide with the excitement of a child.
It’s endearing in its own right. Marcus enjoys simple things. His pleasures are sporadic and unique, and Tomas can find no fault in a grown man drunkenly enjoying a slide more than he enjoys the thought of a pleasure cruise or gambling his money away in a casino.
That’s why he eagerly follows Marcus down the slide, laughing himself when he can hear Marcus’ own joyous exclamations echoing through the slide. It twists into what feels like a widespread spiral, and the next thing he knows, he’s being dumped out onto the dirt, right atop Marcus’ chortling form. He sees the smile on his friend’s face, and feels Marcus’ fingers close around his forearms as he identifies what just fell on top of him. They’re giggling drunkenly to one another, until Mouse’s voice fills the slide above them and they scramble out of the way.]
Presently, this thing is pretty light-hearted. My intention was to keep it that way during the entire work and write something that gave the boys a break for once, but I've since come up with an idea for a route to take this in that probably won't keep it that way. Maybe this happier route is a little OOC, but I can't be stopped now!
