(or Exorcist Writing Month is back!)

Let's get those words flowing and create some Exorcist fic while we are waiting for season 3!

Just like Nanowrimo or Miniwrimo, we decided to dedicate a month to writing some fiction. Because the February ExoWriMo was such a blast and created so much awesome stories, we decided to do it again! The rules are easy. We start April 1st and finish April 30th, then post the results of our efforts:) As April will be the month focused on AU's/Crossovers you're more than welcome to use that as you inspiration. However, you don't have to limit yourself to this theme, the ExoWriMo is open for all themes and types of art.

You let us know in the comments of this post if you want to participate and state the number of words you are resolving to write each day. The lowest number is 100 words, the upper limit is really up to you. Once you comment here, we'll put your nickname into a google docs file and add the daily word counts based on your reports. 

Or you can go completely CASUAL.  - That is, you make up your own challenge - vidding time, editing time, number of drawings, so many minutes spent writing each day or week.  See below for more. 


Quick FAQ: 

1. What should I do if I want to sign up?

Comment to this post and use the following format: 

Subject: Sign Up: [your username], [word count]
Example: Sign Up: Cutiesonthehorizon, 100 words

OR 

Subject: CASUAL Sign Up: [your username], [your personal challenge]

2. Do I have to write daily? What happens if I forget to write/report my word count?

The challenge is to get you writing each day, so yeah, it would be great if you could, even if it isn't material ready for posting:) This challenge is to remind you to write. If you don't manage for the day, because let's be real, there's life and stuff, nothing happens. Try and write a bit more the next day. If you did write and just forgot to report your word count, you can report in the next day. The reporting page won't be locked down until the end of the month and you can report retroactively:) 

CASUAL: Or in casual mode, you do what you can.  Cheer the others on, vid, write, do something else for the fandom.  And cheering for the poor suckers not in casual mode would also be most appreciated. Please note, griping about lack of word count, cheer leading and other similar content totally counts in casual mode. 

3. Where do I report my daily word counts? 

The reporting page will go up April 1st. You'll find a short description of what to do over there.  :) 

4. What happens at the end of the month?

We will review the month, and celebrate the words we manage to produce. There might be a banner or other acknowledgment for the winner, though the most important thing is that there should be new fic to read and spread the love for the fandom:) 

5. I'm not planning to write this month/can't write/don't have the time. Is there any other way to help out or cheer the writers to produce more fic?

Of course there is:D Feel free to sign on in CASUAL mode as a cheerleader and more casual content creator.  

Or even if you don't sign up at all, the comment section is open to anyone and you're welcome to leave any prompts you'd like to see in the comments. Be it a word, link to a picture, song, whatever can give inspiration to the writers. Or even just a simple hello:) Also spreading the word about ExoWriMo and getting more people to participate means more fic to come;)

Aiming to write a little bit every day. I just can't set myself a daily word count because I seriously get anxious just thinking about that. I'd rather aim low and avoid panic attacks.
